Happy Veganning
In a nod to the release of a new New Zealand comedy series, Immi the Vegan, we’ve scoured this fair city (and surrounds) for cruelty-free goodness.
Vegans are rather well catered for in this part of the world. Many restaurants offer vegan options, too.

The Rising Tide
We have just a few words for you about this laidback bar and brasserie on the outskirts of the Mount (and home to Johnney’s Dumpling House AND Mount Brewing): ‘Shroom Dumplings. Actually, maybe a few more: Kale, Onion, Carrot and Broccoli Dumplings. And there’s a proper brasserie menu, too. Eat up.
Pro tip: if you’re taking kids, take a frisbie, rugby balls…and the dog. There’s a brilliant open park next door for them to blast some energy.
PPS Also, you can get Johnney’s Dumplings at the CBD’s Our Place, too.
